Connected devices have come from recent technological advancements in the AED industry. These AEDs are able to connect with bespoke program management software once the device has been activated. They enable the user to continuously, remotely monitor the device's readiness status, as well as expiry reminders.
Accessory to Connect
Developed for use with the HeartSine Samaritan PAD AED range, Gateway connects to the top of your life-saving device and enables the device to connect to LIFELINKcentral or LIFENET System, via WiFi.
The wireless connectivity of Gateway provides owners with the AED readiness status. Gateway will also relay the information of the device's weekly self-test to the program management system and will also provide information if the device requires attention for matters such as the Pad-Pak expiring.
After someone has fallen victim to sudden cardiac arrest, every moment counts. Ensuring your life-saving device is ready for use can be the difference between the device being used during a rescue and it not.
For every minute that goes by without treatment after the patient has collapsed, their survival chance decreases by 10%. However, if treatment is provided within 3 - 5 minutes of the casualty collapsing, their survival chance significantly increases from 6% to 74%.
